Conduct final-year UG,PG exams in July: Rajasthan Chief Minister
Universities in Rajasthan has been directed by the state government to conduct final year PG and UG exams by the second week of July.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has directed all the officials to conduct the university exams in July, which were earlier postponed due to coronavirus lockdown.
During a review meeting with the higher education department, the Chief Minister directed the officials to conduct the final year exams for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses from second week of July.
He also asked all the universities to follow proper health protocols, social distancing norms, which conducting the exams and other activities. He said that health protocols, social distancing should be followed properly in view of coronavirus during exams and other activities, it said.
Higher Education Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati, Technical Education Minister Subhash Garg, Chief Secretary D B Gupta, and other senior officials were also present during the meeting.
In mid-March, schools, colleges, and other educational institutions across the country were shut due to coronavirus outbreak in the country. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country crossed 2 lakh mark on Tuesday, i.e. June 2, 2020.
