Extended JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Window Closes Today; Last Chance to Apply for April Attempt
The extended JEE Mains session 2 registration window will close today at 9 pm. The candidaes who want to apply for the second attempt of NTA JEE Main 2026 should complete the application process and fee payment by the deadline. Know more details below.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration process for the April session today, March 13, at 9 pm. The fee payment facility will be available until 11:50 pm. NTA reopened the window on March 12 for candidates who missed the initial registration deadline for session 2 of the exam. The JEE Mains session 2 application form is currently live at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
According to the NTA, after the closure of the online JEE Mains session 2 application portal, they received multiple representations from candidates requesting an extension or the reopening of the portal. Therefore, NTA decided to reopen the registrations.
NTA has also mentioned the below important points:
- This is the last chance to apply for the JEE Mains session 2, and candidates are requested to complete the applications without any errors. No application form correction window will open after this.
- The candidates who have already completed the application process for session 2 cannot access the registration form during this extended period to edit the form or make corrections.
- This opportunity is being provided only for candidates who were unable to submit their application forms/ complete the fee payment earlier.
JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 City Allotment Soon
NTA will soon release the JEE Mains city intimation slip to the registered candidates. The city slip can be issued anytime in the second week of March 2026, as per the official dates mentioned on the JEE brochure. Going by the previous year's timeline, the city intimation slip can be expected on March 20.
Via the JEE Mains city intimation slip 2026, candidates will have the allotted exam date and city. The admit card will be issued later, 3 to 4 days before the exam, which will have the exact exam centre address, shift and other exam day important guidelines.
NTA will conduct the JEE Mains session 2 exam between April 2 and 9. The exact dates on which the exam will be held in this period will be announced via a separate public notice in the coming days.
