GATE 2026 Application Correction Window Date

The GATE 2026 application form correction link will close TOMORROW (November 3). Applicants who want to edit their GATE 2026 registration form must visit the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in and make changes to their application form. Candidates must note that GATE 2026 last date to apply was October 13, and further registrations cannot be done. 

This year, IIT Guwahati is conducting the GATE 2026 exam on the following dates - February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts: forenoon (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm)

How to Edit GATE Application Form 2026?

Candidates can change their details in the GATE registration form 2026 following the process below -

  • Visit IIT Guwahati GATE 2026 website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in
  • Click on the GATE application portal and log in using enrollment ID and password
  • Select the particulars you want to edit 
  • Pay the amount and submit the GATE exam form 2026
  • Keep a copy and log out

Details that can be edited during GATE 2026 Application Correction Process

The IIT Guwahati GATE 2026 rectification window allows candidates to change the following data in their form-

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Paper choice (primary)
  • Exam city choices
  • Personal details
  • Educational qualification details

Candidates must make a fee payment to make specific changes in their registration form. No fees are charged for changing parents/college/qualifying degree details. 

Important documents required during the GATE 2026 Form Correction Process

Students who want to change their name, must upload their name change document in PDF format having a file size between 10 kb to 600 kb. On the other hand, candidates who want to change their birth date must submit their 10th marksheet in PDF format with a file size between 10 to 600 KB. 

Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully and keep the payment receipt safe for future reference. Make submissions as early as possible and stay consistent with GATE 2026 preparations. All the Best!

Yes, The GATE 2026 application form correction window has started. The last date to edit is November 3. During the correction facility, candidates will be able to change a few particulars, such as exam city, category, exam centre, etc. This year, there is a hike of INR 100 for gender, category, and PwD change.

Q:   What is the GATE 2026 registration last date?
A:

The IIT Guwahati has released the GATE application form on August 28 at the GOAPS portal. The registration window is now active on the official website of IIT Guwahati GATE. The last date to apply has been revised to October 7 - without late fees. Incase, you've missed out the deadline, you can still submit the application form till October 13, but you need to pay a late fee during this timeline. 

Q:   How many exam centres can I choose while filling the GATE application form?

Candidates can choose at least three exam centres while filling their GATE 2026 application form. The list of GATE exam cities (zone-wise) is available on the website. Besides that, it has to be noted that the three centres must be from the same zone. Thus, based on the availability, the centre will be allotted to the candidate for appearing the GATE 2026 exam.
