Now, the new GATE 2026 registration date is October 6, 2025, without late fees. Applicants can visit the website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in and apply without paying any late fee charges. 

How to Apply for GATE 2026 without late fee?

To apply without paying any late fees, candidates can follow the steps below -

• Visit the GATE 2026 official website 
• Click on application form portal link
• Register and get GATE enrollment ID 
• Login and fill the required details
• Upload the documents (mentioned)
• Pay the GATE registration fees and submit the form.
• Take a printout for future purposes.

This year, IIT Guwahati have revised the GATE application form fees 2026. Students have to pay following amount for GATE exam registration -

While filling GATE application form, candidates have to upload their photo, signature, and a valid ID proof as per the specifications. For candidates who belong to PwD, category, or dyslexic have to upload their respective documents. 

The GATE 2026 application form last date with late fees is October 9, 2025. Candidates who have submitted their form successfully will be able to download their hall ticket on January 2. The exam will take place on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts.
