The GATE 2026 registration window closes TODAY (October 6) with regular fees. The application form is available at the GOAPS 2026 portal. Through GATE, students can pursue higher education (MTech), research (PhD) or get into PSU jobs in top companies like POWERGRID, NPCIL, AAI, etc. 

However, the GATE 2026 registrations will still remain open till October 9, where students can submit their application form with late fees. Accepted payment modes incude- credit/debit card/UPI/netbanking. IIT Guwahati will conduct the GATE exam 2026 on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts. 

Steps to Complete GATE 2026 Registration

Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the GATE application form 2026 -

• Visit the GATE 2026 official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in
• Click on the application portal
• Register and fill out the application form
• Upload the documents (as per specifications)
• Pay the GATE application fee and submit the form

GATE Documents Required for Registration:

Candidates must upload a recent scanned image of their photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities. In addtition, they have to upload a valid ID proof for authentication purposes. Candidates belonging to the category or PwD must submit their respective certificate (category/dyslexic/PwD certificate).

To check the GATE application status 2026, candidates must log in using their enrollment ID and password.

GATE 2026 Correction Window Date

The GATE 2026 correction window will be activated soon after the registration process. However, the last date to submit is November 6. Candidates are advised to keep checking the website for the latest updates and notifications. The GATE 2026 admit card will be released on January 2.
