The Indian Institute of Technolgy, Madras have revised GATE syllabus. Many subjects have simplified the exam syllabus as per the industry standards. Here are some changes that has been made in the GATE syllabus 2027:

• New Robotics Paper: The biggest update is the introduction of brand-new paper, which is Robotics and Automation (RA) paper. This brings to a total of GATE subjects to 30.
• Computer Science and Information Technology (CSE): The GATE CSE syllabus now features an expanded section in AI, Data Analytics and Machine Learning. The syllabus has been revised, and some parts have been deleted in COA, Digital Logic, and Computer Networks. 
• Textile Engineering (TF): This paper has been converted into a sectional paper under Engineerig Sciences (XE)
• Electronics and Communication: The GATE 2027 ECE paper remains 90% unchanged. However, the GATE ECE Syllabus now incudes modern communication technologies like IoT, 5Gm and 6G concepts. 
• Civil Engineering: The GATE 2027 CE syllabus now focuses towards Green Construction and Sustainable Engineering practices. 
• Mechanical Engineering: A new "Advanced Manufacturing" section has been added covering Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and Additive Manufacturing.

Candidates are advised to check the syllabus carefully before starting their preparation. 

The GATE registration fee is non‑refundable. Candidates must register carefully. If additional fee is deducted, then the fee will be refunded back within 15 days.

There is no age or attempt limit for GATE exam. However, candidates need to meet the educational qualification details.

The GATE photograph specifications can be checked below:
