GATE 2027 form-fill-up date: As GATE 2027 introduced many new changes this year, IIT Madras has delayed the GATE 2027 application date, allowing candidates more time to complete the necessary steps to fill out the application form. Since the dates are not yet announced, candidates are advised to keep their photo, signature and certificates ready before the GATE 2027 application form link becomes active.

Expected GATE 2027 Form-Fill Up Date
As of now, the GATE 2027 official website displays “To be Announced” in the dates section. Based on past trends, IITM will first announce the application form release date. GATE exam form filling is most likely to start before September 5, 2026. Candidates can apply through GOAPS portal only. The registration last date remains unchanged on the website.

Will GATE 2027 Exam Dates be Postponed
There is, as such, no update regarding the GATE exam date postponement. Looking at the past trends, the GATE conducting authorities usually do not revise the GATE 2027 exam dates. IIT Madras will conduct GATE 2027 for six days: Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027, in two shifts. In addition, IIT Madras have also updated, document checklist to be updated on GATE 2027 digilocker account before registration.
What candidates should do now
As the GATE application dates are yet to be announced, candidates must do the following:

Scanned photo and signature as per the specifications

If you fall under the reserved or PwD/dyslexic category, then scan and convert your certificate into PDF

Keep the choice of exam cities ready along with GATE exam cities
To avoid server issues and technical glitches, it is advised to fill the GATE exam form 2027 3 to 4 days after the release.
