What is the expected date for GATE 2026 application form correction process?

As per the last year’s notification and dates, the GATE 2026 correction window is expected to begin in the last week of October or first week of November. However, the last date to make changes is November 6. Candidates who want to make changes to their form must keep their new details ready. 

Also, it has to be noted that the GATE correction facility 2026 will be available for a short period of time. Therefore, it is important to submit before the deadline. 

What to Edit in GATE Application Correction Window 2026?

Candidates can edit the following details during the correction facility -

• Name
• Date of Birth
• Change in the choice in exam cities
• Change in existing cities
• Adding a paper (from the two paper combination list)
• Gender
• Category
• PwD to any other category

The fees as per last year was INR 500 and the accepted payment modes include credit/debit card/netbanking or UPI. Aspirants are advised to keep a copy of their payment receipt for future references. 

How to Edit GATE 2026 Application Form?

To access GATE correction window 2026, candidates will have to visit the GOAPS portal. Now at the candidate login, enter enrollment ID and password. In the dashboard section, check for the edit facility option available. Select the particulars that you want to make changes. Pay the fees and submit. Take a printout and keep a copy for future references.

After submitting the rectified information, candidates can visit their candidate login to check their application status. It is advised to go through all instructions carefully before submitting modified GATE registration form 2026. 

Candidates who have submitted their form successfully will be able to download GATE admit card 2026 on January 2. The GATE 2026 exam dates are scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts: (Forenoon - 9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and (Afternoon - 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).
