GATE Correction Window 2026 Link OUT: Make changes at gate2026.iitg.ac.in, steps, documents, and fees

The IIT Guwahati has started GATE 2026 application form correction online at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. As per the updated notice, the last date to make changes in the GATE application form 2026 is November 3. GATE 2026 application form correction process has started. Candidates who have submitted their form and want to make certain changes in their GATE 2026 exam registration form can access the correction window. The facility to make edits in the GATE registration form will remain active till November 3. 

However, in the GATE information brochure 2026, the last date to make changes is November 6. So, aspirants can expect an extension as well. But, ensure to get it updated before the due date. Also, there is an increase of INR 100 for changing gender, category, and PwD details (for all others except female and PwD applicants).

Steps to Access GATE 2026 Rectification Window

To make correction in GATE application form 2026, candidates can follow the steps below -

• Visit the official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in login
• Click on the application form portal
• Enter login credentials - enrollment ID and password
• Select the detail you want to change in the form
• Go through the instructions, enter captcha, and make the payment
• Submit the application form and keep a copy of the receipt

GATE 2026 Form Correction Process: What to Edit and Fees

The following changes can be edited during GATE correction window 2026 -

• Name 
• Date of birth
• Exam cities
• Existing paper
• Change of gender to female
• Change of gender from female to any other gender
• Category to SC/ST
• Change of category from SC/ST to any other category
• Change from Non-PwD/Dyslexic to PwD/Dyslexic 
• Change from PwD/Dyslexic to Non-PwD/Dyslexic
• Any other change in category

GATE 2026 Application Form Correction Fees

To make any change in the GATE 2026 exam registration form, applicants have to pay a fee of INR 500 through netbanking/credit card/debit card/UPI. On the other hand, to change category, gender, or PwD, students can check the fees below -

GATE 2026 Application Form Correction Facility: Documents Required

• Candidates who want to change their name must upload their name change document in PDF format with a file size between 10 kb to 600 kb
• Candidates who want to change their date of birth must upload their 10th marksheet or date of birth document in PDF format with a file size between 10 kb to 600 kb

Candidates must note the details once submitted during the correction process will not be further changed. The details provided during registration/correction will be mentioned in the GATE 2026 hall ticket and will be carried throughout the admission process. Therefore, make sure to make changes carefully.
