GATE Registrations 2026 starts tomorrow: The GATE 2026 application form will be released TOMORROW, i.e., August 25, 2025, at the GOAPS portal on the GATE 2026 official website. IIT Guwahati is all set to start the GATE 2026 registrations tomorrow (August 25) on the official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates meeting the GATE eligibility criteria must go through all the details, documents, steps and more before heading to apply for the exam.

When will GATE Application Form 2026 be released: Date and Time

The GOAPS portal at gate2026.iitg.ac.in will be activated once form is released. Candidates can submit GATE online form with no late fees till September 25, 2025 and October 6, 2025 (with late fee charges). However, GATE 2026 application form release time is not yet announced. How to fill GATE Application Form 2026?

Candidates can follow steps below to apply for GATE 2026

• Go to GATE's official website
• Visit GOAPS portal and register
• Once the registration is complete, you will receive an enrollment ID
• Now create a password and login to fill rest of information
• Upload documents and certificates required
• Pay GATE application fee and submit form

GATE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be a graduate from any of the following streams - (engineering/science/technology/commerce/architecture) can apply. Also, third and fourth year BTech applicants can apply for GATE 2026. Candidates must check their eligibility carefully before applying.

Aspirants must keep the following GATE 2026 documents ready before applying -

• A recent scanned passport-size photograph
• Scanned signature
• Scanned valid ID proof
• Category/Pwd/Dyslexic certificate (optional)

The documents must be scanned properly as per the specifications mentioned by the GATE authorities.

GATE 2026 Application Form Filling Instructions

When filling GATE application form, candidates must keep following things in mind-

• Candidates must enter details correctly. If there is any discrepancy, admission will be rejected.
• Avoid applying using multiple email IDs
• Make sure that your mobile number and email ID is active
• Check GATE paper codes and wisey choose paper combinations while filling form

IIT Guwahati will conduct the GATE 2026 exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts. The last date for correction is November 6, and the GATE admit card 2026 will be available in January 2.
