GATE Registrations 2026 starts tomorrow: The GATE 2026 application form will be released TOMORROW, i.e., August 25, 2025, at the GOAPS portal on the GATE 2026 official website. IIT Guwahati is all set to start the GATE 2026 registrations tomorrow (August 25) on the official website- gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates meeting the GATE eligibility criteria must go through all the details, documents, steps and more before heading to apply for the exam.

When will GATE Application Form 2026 be released: Date and Time

The GOAPS portal at gate2026.iitg.ac.in will be activated once the application is released. The last date to submit the GATE online form is September 25, 2025 (with no late fees) and October 6, 2025 (with late fee charges). However, the GATE 2026 application form release time is not mentioned by the authorities. Therefore, candidates are advised to stay updated with the GATE 2026 latest updates. 

How to fill GATE Application Form 2026?

The step-by-step process to apply for the GATE 2026 application form is as follows -

• Visit the official website of GATE- gate2026.iitg.ac.in
• Click on the application link and apply for registration
• Once the registration is complete, you will receive an enrollment ID and password
• Log in using the credentials and fill out the details, such as personal and exam details
• Upload the documents and certificates required
• Pay the GATE application fee and submit the form

Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s or are currently studying in the 3rd year or higher years of any undergraduate program from a government-recognised institute in engineering/science/technology/commerce/architecture, etc., are eligible for GATE admission.

• A recent scanned passport-size photograph
• Scanned signature
• Scanned valid ID proof
• Category/Pwd/Dyslexic certificate (optional)

The documents must be scanned properly as per the specifications mentioned by the GATE authorities.

• Provide correct information, as it will be verified by the authorities before issuing admit card.
• Do not use multiple email IDs to register.
• Ensure the contact number and email ID are valid and active to receive the GATE enrollment ID and password. 
• Go through the GATE paper codes carefully and add the paper combination choice. 

IIT Guwahati will conduct the GATE 2026 exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts. The last date for correction is November 6, and the GATE admit card 2026 will be available in January 2.
