Good News for KCET Aspirants, KEA Extends Registration Deadline to February 22
KEA has officially extended the registration deadline for KCET 2026. Following a surge in demand and multiple requests from the student community. The last date to submit the KCET application form is now February 22, 2026. As of now, over 2.9 lakh students registered and 1.8 lakh verified via SATS. Find more details here.
KEA Extends Registration Deadline to February 22
Karnataka Education Authority (KEA) in a significant relief for KCET 2026 aspirants have extended the last date to fill the UGCET 2026 application form. The KCET registration 2026 which was originally supposed to end on February 17, 2026 has now been extended until February 22. ย Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria can now submit the application form till the last date. The last date to pay the application fee is also extended and students will be able to pay the application fee till February 24, 2026.
The UGCET also known as KCET is an annual, competitive entrance test conducted by KEA for engineering aspirants. Candidates are advised to complete their registration early to avoid last-minute technical hassles.ย As per the official notification released by KEA on X platform (formerly Twitter), โthe decision comes after a massive surge in traffic and numerous requests from students who were unable to meet the initial February 17 deadlineโ. The exam body has also released some important stats along with the extension notice. Here are some of the numbers -
- Over 2.9 lakh students have successfully registered using their Aadhaar numbers.
- Out of the total registered, 2.5 lakh candidates have completed application fee payments.
- 1.8 lakh candidates have had their documents verified online via SATS (Student Achievement Tracking System).
- 35,000 candidates have completed their verification process at college level.
- With the KCET 2026 extension, KEA expects the total number of applicants to cross the 3-lakh mark by the end of week.ย

KCET 2026 Application Correction Window
KEA has confirmed that a correction facility will be provided soon for those who have already submitted their application allowing students to rectify any errors made during initial submission.
