GUJCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates abiding by the minimum eligibility criteria can fill out the GUJCET application form 2026.
- Indian students with Gujarat Domicile
- As per the academic qualification, students must have passed or appeared in 12th grade or equivalent exam
- For BE/BTech. candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in 12th grade.
- General category candidates should have scored 45% in the class 12 board examination, while reserved category candidates must score 40%.

What is marking scheme of the GUJCET exam?
As per the GUJCET marking scheme, each question will carry 1 mark each and there will also be negative marking. According to the minus marking, 0.25 will be deducted per answer for each wrong answer attempted by the student. The entrance exam will be held in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. It will be conducted in an offline, pen-and-paper-based mode.

What Types of Questions are asked in GUJCET?
In the GUJCET exam, the questions are asked from 10+2 level Science stream subjects. The question paper is in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format, and the questions are based on Physics, Chemistry, and Math/Biology. The question paper tests candidates' knowledge of the Class 11 & 12 GSEB syllabus. The difficulty level of the GUJCET exam ranges from moderate to difficult. Math is generally on the tricky side.

The exam body GSHSEB has announced the GUJCET application dates 2026. As per the dates, the registrations for the GUJCET 2026 will start from December 16, 2025 and will end on December 30.
Being an entrance exam there are no course fees for the same. However, after you get admission into the college you will have to pay the college fees which will depend upon the college and GUJCET doesn't have any say in that.
