IISc MTech Admission 2025 Deadline Extended: Apply by March 25 with GATE Score

GATE 2025: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has extended the last date to apply for MTech admission 2025. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can fill out the IISc MTech application form online at the official website. The last extended date to fill out the IISc MTech admission application form is March 25, 2025. The IISc MTech interview or written test will be conducted between April 14 and 17, while the tentative reporting dates are from July 21 to 23.
The institute earlier announced that those applying for IISc MTech programs through GATE can update their Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) ID by April 17, 2025. This update option will be available on the application portal. Further, the GATE 2025 cut-off for MTech admissions and candidates who secure a rank in GATE 2025 will be eligible to apply. Applicants must register on the COAP 2025 portal for GATE counselling.
Who are eligible to apply for IISc MTech Admission 2025?
Candidates can check the below-listed points to know who are eligible to apply for IISc MTech admission 2025:
- They must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- Those who have completed BE/BTech equivalent exams conducted by Professional Societies recognized by MoE/UPSC/AICTE (e.g., AMIE by the Institution of Engineers) are eligible.
Note: Only candidates enrolled on or before May 31, 2013, in such professional societies (e.g., AMIE) recognized by MoE are eligible to apply.
- Master’s degree holders in Science disciplines (including Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation/Geology/Computer Applications/Physical Sciences/Mathematical Sciences) are eligible, subject to the specific requirements of the department offering MTech programs.
All applicants must qualify in the relevant entrance exams:
- M.Tech.: GATE 2025/2024/2023
Candidates must possess a valid scorecard as of August 1, 2025.

The GATE 2026 registration is now ongoing at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates can fill out the application form till September 28 (without late fees). The last date to submit the GATE 2026 application form with late fees is October 9.
Candidates must note that the GATE application form will be made available at the GOAPS portal only. The portal link is now activated.
There is no University-wise IISC entrance exam required for BTech course, students need to clear JEE and JEE Mains. If the student qualifies any of this mentioned-exam and you have top rank is qualify for Indian Institute of Science course admissions. Every year cut off is different but you need top ranks.
