IIT Delhi is set to organise "Transformative Leadership in STEMM (TLS)" workshops for SC/ST PhD students, offering three days of mentoring in research, teaching, and leadership. Check application deadline here

IIT Delhi’s Transformative Leadership in STEMM Workshop

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi’s Initiative for Caste Equity (ICE), through the Office of Diversity & Inclusion in collaboration with the SC/ST Cell, is organising “Transformative Leadership in STEMM (TLS)” mentoring workshops for SC/ST PhD students in their second year or beyond from IITs, NITs, and other HEIs. As per the notification released, the second IIT Delhi TLS workshop is tentatively set to be held from December 11 to 13, 2024.

Those interested can submit applications for IIT Delhi TLS workshop till November 3, 2024. They must note that IIT Delhi will cover TA (including airfare), and local hospitality of all the selected candidates. The workshops aim to inspire and equip scholars to pursue faculty positions at IITs, NITs, and other institutions.

Who can apply for IIT Delhi's TLS Workshop 2024?

As per the notification released, SC/ST PhD students in their second year or beyond, enrolled at any IIT, NIT, or other HEI, can apply for the second round of the TLS workshop 2024. Applications are open for candidates specialising in Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Kusuma School of Biological Sciences. Selection will be based on seniority, academic potential, and the quality of the research abstract.

To apply for IIT Delhi TLS workshop, candidates need to submit the below-mentioned documents:

About Transformative Leadership in STEMM Workshop

This three-day workshop will offer mentoring in research, teaching, and leadership. Selected candidates will present their research to experts and peers, receiving valuable feedback and guidance. The workshop will also include sessions on developing teaching and presentation skills, preparing for job interviews, building confidence, and networking, featuring interactions with experts, Deans, and Directors from IITs.
