IIT Delhi to launch new campus in Haryana’s Jhajjar, Sonipat
IIT Delhi New Campus: The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) is all set to open a new campus in Haryana’s Jhajjar soon. The Director of IIT Delhi, Rangan Banerjee announced the launch of the new campus. According to the director, the work of the IIT Delhi new campus will be completed by the end of November 2023.
IIT Delhi New Campus: The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) is all set to open a new campus in Haryana’s Jhajjar soon. The Director of IIT Delhi, Rangan Banerjee announced the launch of the new campus. According to the director, the work of the IIT Delhi new campus will be completed by the end of November 2023. Banerjee also announced that formal programmes at the IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi campus will start in 2024. “We still need approvals, both internally and externally. We have different mechanisms to do admissions in both India and UAE. We are trying to have a blend of both. Our aim is to have diversified classrooms,” he said in a press conference.
IIT Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of the IIT Delhi campus in Abu Dhabi in July, as a part of the ‘IITs go Global’ campaign. This will be the second international IIT campus after IIT Madras Zanzibar.
The courses at the IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi will cover several areas such as Energy and Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Engineering, Healthcare, Mathematics and Computing and other disciplines of engineering, sciences and humanities.
