IIT Hyderabad Releases Application Form for PhD Admission

IIT Hyderabad Admission 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has started the application process for PhD admission online. Candidates can visit the official website: iith.ac.in/phdadmissions to apply for IIT Hyderabad PhD admission 2024. They can submit their applications on the official website by April 11, 2024. 

Admission to IIT Hyderabad PhD is offered against research proposals submitted by two faculty members from two different departments. To get admission into the program, they can apply to a maximum of two interdisciplinary proposals. All the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Interdisciplinary Admissions Committee.

Who are eligible for IIT Hyderabad PhD Admission 2024? 

Candidates who have a Master's degree (MA/ME/MTech) or its equivalent in any field or those with a Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech) or its equivalent in any field along with a valid GATE Score.

Or those who have a Master of Science (MSc) degree or its equivalent in any scientific discipline along with a valid GATE score. Or those who have qualified in any of one of the following national examinations: INSPIRE, Joint CSIR-UGC NET with JRF, DBT JRF are eligible to apply. 

IIT Hyderabad PhD Admission

Admission to the PhD programme is based on the submission of research proposals by two faculty members from different departments. Prospective candidates can apply to a maximum of two interdisciplinary proposals. Shortlisted candidates will undergo an interview conducted by the Interdisciplinary Admissions Committee. 

The PhD programme is structured to ensure scholars acquire the necessary depth and breadth of knowledge in their field of study. The Interdisciplinary PhD program offers a rigorous academic experience, preparing students for careers in research, academia, and beyond. A yearly contingency of INR 50,000 is provided to the scholar for research expenses.
