IIT Jammu PhD admission 2021: Apply till November 20 at iitjammu.ac.in

For admission to PhD programmes at IIT Jammu, candidates need to register and fill the application online by visiting the official website, eg.iitjammu.ac.in/phdapplication. 

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu has extended the application deadline for submission to PhD programmes. The last date to apply for PhD programmes for the 2021-22 academic session is now November 20, 2021. For admission to PhD programmes, candidates need to register and fill the application online by visiting the website, eg.iitjammu.ac.in/phdapplication. 

The applications are invited for admission in the following departments:  

• Bio Sciences and Bio Engineering 
• Chemical Engineering 
• Chemistry 
•  Civil  Engineering 
•  Computer  Science and Engineering 
•  Electrical  Engineering 
•  Humanities  & Social Sciences 
•  Materials  Engineering 
•  Mathematics 
•  Mechanical  Engineering 
•  Physics 

IIT Jammu PhD admissions 2021-22 important dates 

Eligibility criteria for IIT Jammu PhD admissions 2021-22  

Candidates need to fulfil one of the below-mentioned criteria to become eligible for full-time PhD programme at the institute. 

• A  master’s degree in engineering/technology or a master’s degree  by research in engineering/technology along with a good academic  record.   
• A  master’s degree in science (with a good academic record) and a  valid GATE score/UGC/CSIR-JRF/GPAT/ NBHM or equivalent qualification  in the relevant area tenable for the year of registration. Exemption  under schemes as agreed by the IIT Council for students of  NITs/IITs/IIITs/IISERs/IISc may be acceptable. 
•  Candidates  with a bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology with an  exceptional academic record and a valid GATE score in the eligible  discipline.   

Application fee per department (non-refundable) for General/Gen-EWS/OBC category is INR 1,000 and INR 500 for SC/ST/PWD category candidates. The candidates can deposit the requisite application fee by using net banking or debit/credit card facilities. Additional charges will be applicable as per the rule of the bank concerned.
