Upload scanned photograph (jpg/jpeg), signature (jpg/jpeg), and documents (pdf/jpg/jpeg).

Pay online application fee

Q:   What is the IMU CET application fee?
A: 

Application Fee: INR 700 for SC/ST candidates and INR 1000 for General, EWS, and OBC-NCL candidates. The fee is non-refundable.

The IMUCET is a national-level entrance exam which is conducted annually to shortlist students for admission into various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and diploma maritime courses. The entrance exam will be of 3-hour time duration and will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) online mode. The question paper will be in multiple-choice format and in English language, 1 mark will be awarded for correct answer and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for incorrect response.

What are the Courses Offered under IMU CET?

The IMU CET 2026 offers admissions into programs at IMU’s six campuses (Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai Port, Navi Mumbai, and Visakhapatnam) along with affiliated colleges. Some of the courses offered by IMU CET are as follows - 

UG Programs: B.Tech (Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering), B.Sc (Nautical Science, Ship Building & Repair), and BBA (Logistics, Retailing, and E-Commerce).

PG Programs: M.Tech (Marine Technology, Dredging & Harbour Engineering) and MBA (Port & Shipping Management, International Transportation & Logistics Management).

Diploma: Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS).

Who can apply for IMU CET Eligibility?

For UG courses, students must have a minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in 10+2, along with a minimum 50% in English. As per the age limit, students must be between 17 and 25 years. There are also certain medical fitness required such as eyesight fitness as per DG Shipping norms. To fill the application form successfully, candidates will have to pay the application fee of INR 1,000 for General/OBC candidates and INR 700 for SC/ST candidates.
