JoSAA 2025

JoSAA counselling is a process conducted at the national level. It serves as a centralized counselling system for candidates who have received ranks in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Admissions to all undergraduate courses based on JEE Mains ranks at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs are handled through JoSAA. Likewise, admission for all UG courses in IITs is determined by the JEE Advanced ranks via the JoSAA counselling process. JoSAA stands for Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). This counselling system has been established by the Ministry of Education to manage the admission process across 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 27 IIITs, and 40 Other-GFTIs. Candidates who are eligible, having cleared JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, must engage in JoSAA counselling for admission into the IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
