JEE Main 2023: NTA issues special notice to Tamil Nadu students for filling JEE Main application form
As per the special notice, the "field" of class 10 marks has been disabled for candidates who have passed the class 10 board exam from Tamil Nadu in the year 2021.
National Testing Agency has released a special notice for JEE Main 2023 aspirants from Tamil Nadu state who have passed their class 10 board exams in the year 2021. As per the notice, “Class 10 board exams were not conducted in Tamil Nadu in the year 2021 due to COVID-19, and all those students registered for appearing in the exams were declared pass. Accordingly, no marks were given in the mark sheet and ‘pass’ is printed in all subjects with a disclaimer.
NTA has modified the application process for candidates filling the JEE Main application form 2023 from Tamil Nadu with class 10 pass year as 2021. During the filling up of the online Application Form of JEE Main 2023 Session 1, when the candidate selects ‘Passing year’ as 2021 with ‘School Board’ as Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination (Sec.), the Result Mode field will be disabled and the associated fields for Marks/CGPA will be invisible for Tamil Nadu State Board candidates who have passed their Class 10 in year 2021.
For those candidates who have already filled the application form, with passing year as 2021, school board as Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination (Sec.) and paid the fee, the same rule will be applied i.e. field Result Mode will be disabled and fields Total Marks, Obtained Marks, Percentage of Marks will remain invisible in application form.
JEE Main 2023 Application Form Date
JEE Mains application form 2023 session 1 has been released. Candidates can apply online from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in up to January 12. For session 2, JEE Main registration 2023 will start on February 7.
JEE Main 2023 Exam Date
NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam on 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31 January. JEE Main session 2 exam 2023 will be conducted on 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, and 12 April. Students are demanding the postponement of JEE Mains 2023 session 1 exam to April citing the less time gap between JEE and class 12 board exams.
