JEE Main 2026 exam date session 2 has been revised to April 2 to 9. Earlier, the exam was scheduled for April 1 to 10. Exam date for session 1 has been not changed. JEE Mains 2026 registration has started for session 1 exam.  Candidates can fill the JEE Main application form 2026 online from website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

NTA has revised the exam dates for JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam. As per the new dates, JEE Main exam 2026 session 2 will be held between April 2 to 9. Earlier, the exam was schedule for April 1 to 10. No changes has been made in the dates for session 1 exam and it will be conducted as scheduled from January 21 to 30.

NTA has released the application form for JEE Mains 2026 session 1 exam. Candidates can apply online from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to fill the form is November 27. 

Some new changes have been introduced in the JEE Main Application process 2026. As per the details available in the information brochure, candidates need to upload his/her live photograph at the time of filling of the application form using webcam of laptop/computer and will also have to upload his/her Scanned Images of Photograph.

Also, change in dimensions of required documents have been made. As per new dimesions, signature file should be between 10 kb to 100 kb. Scanned copy of class 10 marks-sheet should be between 50 kb to 300 kb and Scanned copy of identity proof (for those candidates who will verify their identities through methods other than Aadhaar or DigiLocker) should be in between 10 kb to 200 kb. Scanned copy of Disability/UDID certificate should be a pdf between 50 kb to 300 kb.

Q:   Will there be any break in JEE Main 2026 exam?
A:

The total duration of JEE Main exam is 3 hours and the exam is conducted continuous without any break. Candidates have to enter the exam hall as per the scheduled time and can leave exam hall only after the completion of paper. The exam will have a total of 75 questions from 3 subjects, Physics Chemistry and Mathematics.

Q:   Are calculators allowed inside exam centre in JEE Main exam?
A:

Students are not allowed to carry calculators inside the exam centre in JEE Main exam. Students can use the virtual calculator available on the screen during the exam. Virtual calculators will be available on the computer screen of students during the JEE Main exam.

Q:   What is JEE Mains session 1 exam date 2026?
A:

NTA has announced the JEE Mains 2026 session 1 exam date. As per the schedule, NTA will conduct the JEE Main session 1 exam from January 21 to 30. NTA will conduct the exam in two shifts every exam day in approximately 300 test cities of India and abroad. Candidates can check details about exam dates and other schedule on the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
