JEE Main 2026 Registration Starts Soon; Important Things to Remember Before Applying Online

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the JEE Main 2026 application form. The JEE Mains registration 2026 link will be activated at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Recently, the authority announced the JEE Main exam date 2026. The session 1 exam is scheduled from January 21 to 30, while the session 2 exam will be held from April 1 to 10, 2026.
The JEE Main notification also announced a major change for the JEE Main registration 2026. Certain details of the applicant’s such as name, date of birth, gender and others, will be auto-filled as per their Aadhaar details. This will make the form-filling process easier and reduce errors. However, candidates have to fill in all other details that are not available through UIDAI. Before the agency opens the JEE Mains registration window, check the important points below.

Before starting the registration, candidates should keep the following ready:
- Aadhaar card
- Class 10th marksheet
- Category or PwD certificates (if applicable)

- Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the JEE Main 2026 application form.
- Register as a ‘New Candidate’.
- Log in with your registered details and fill out the form.
- Upload the JEE Mains 2026 required documents and pay the application fee.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2026 Registration
Candidates looking for appearing in the exam must check the eligibility criteria that is considered for applying to the test. Candidates need to be of Indian nationality. Foreign Nationals / NRIs / PIOs / OCIs can also apply. Students applying to this should have completed class 12th in 2024, 2025 or should be appearing in 2026. There is no JEE Mains age limit/minimum marks required for registration.
