JEE Main 2026 Registration will start in October. The National Testing Agency has announced that the basic information of candidates like name, date of birth, gender, photograph and address will be obtained from Aadhaar Number. This is beng done to simplify the registration process.

Candidates applying for JEE Main 2026 exam will now see a major change in the application process. As per the latest announcement from NTA, candidatesโ€™ basic details will be auto filled in the application form through information available in the Aaadaar database. Candidates will only have to fill parents details in the application form as the father/mother/guardian details will not be recorded from Aadhaar.

If thereโ€™s mismatch in name in Aadhaar Card and 10th Educational Certificate/Marksheet of any candidate, an option will be given to overcome this issue during the online application form.

The National Testing Agency had issued a public notice on 29 September 2025 advising candidates for updating their Aadhaar if their any mismatch in their personal details. This step is to minimize the procedural difficulties of JEE Main 2026 aspirants while filling the online application form.

JEE Main 2026 Application form will be released in October. The exact date for the start of application process has not been announced. Once the registration starts, candidates can fill the form from the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

NTA will conduct the JEE Main exam 2026 in two sessions in January and April. The first session will be conducted from January 21 to 30 while the second session will be conducted between April 1 to 10. NTA will also increase the number of exam cities for the upcoming exams and special attention is being given to address the requirements and needs of PwD/PwBD candidates appearing in the Examination, as per the latest notification
