JEE Main 2026 Scribe Registration Facility Opens; Apply now at jeemain.nta.nic.in

The facility of scribe registration for JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam has started. PwBD candidates who have benchamark disability can apply for scribe by login to the JEE Main official website. NTA will provide the scribe/reader/lab asistant to PwBD candidates who raises the request.

NTA provides the scribe/reader/lab assistant to PwBD candidates who have a benchmark disability limiting them to write/read/appear in the exam on their own. Candidates can also bring their own scribe by submitting a request in the prescribed format.

Scribe Registration Facility Opens for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the scribe registration facility for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam. Candidates who have limitations in writing because of any benchmark disability in the category of blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected) and cerebral palsy or that of a speed can apply for scribe facility.

To avail this facility, candidates have to register a request by login to the JEE Main official website using their application number/password.

The NTA shall provide Scribe/Reader/Lab Assistant to all such candidates who applies for the same.

In case a candidate has benchmark disabilities other than blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected) and cerebral palsy or that of a speed, the provision of scribe/reader/lab assistant shall be allowed on production of a certificate mentioning that candidate has physical limitation to write, and scribe is essential to write exam on his behalf. For this, certificate in the prescribed proforma has to be obtained from the Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a Government health care institution.

Candidates are also allowed to bring their own scribe, but the qualification of the scribe should be one step below the qualification of the candidate taking JEE Mains. The person opting for own scribe should submit details of the own scribe as per proforma.

Advance City Intimation for JEE Main 2026 Session-1 Announced

NTA has released the city intimation slip of JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam. Candidates can download their JEE Main 2026 city intimation slip by login to the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. City intimation slip mentions details about the exam date of candidate with test city where his/her exam centre is located. The address of JEE Main exam centre will be available only through admit card. The NTA is expected to release JEE Mains admit card 2026 session 1 on or before January 18.

The exact JEE Main 2026 exam date session 1 have been also announced. NTA will conduct the Paper 1 exam on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and Paper 2 on January 29, 2026.

JEE Main Registration 2026 session 1 is over. Session 2 registration will start in the last week of January 2026.

Q: Β  Can I fill JEE Main application form 2026 offline?
A:

No, JEE Main application form can only be filled online. The application form of JEE Main is released only in online mode on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. There is no option of filling the application form in offline mode. Candidates who do not have a laptop/personal computer can visit the computer centre/common service centres to fill the application form. While filling the JEE Main 2026 application form, candidates will also have to upload scanned image of their photo and signature. Candidates belonging to reserved category (Gen-EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) also need to upload the category certificate.
