JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam Dates Soon

JEE Main Session 1 Exam 2026: National Testing Agency will be conducting JEE Main exam for session 1 from January 21 to 30, 2026. However, as of now only the period in which the exam will be held has been announced. It is expected that the exact exam dates for JEE Main 2026 session 1 will be announced soon by NTA at official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Along with JEE Main exam dates, numbers of shift and timings will also be released. 

It is also likely that NTA will release JEE Main session 1 city intimation slip 2026 in first week of January. Candidates who have registered can download JEE Main 2026 intimation slip from official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. They have to use their login details application number and password to download JEE Main city intimation slip. They will know name of city and exam date through intimation slip. 

Expected Number of Shifts and JEE Main 2026 Exam Schedule

It is important to note that JEE Main will not be conducted every day from January 21 to 30, 2026 with two shifts each day. Instead, JEE Main Jan session is expected to be held over a total of 5 days, spread across 10 shifts (two shifts per day). JEE Main BE/BTech exam is likely to be held on January 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, or 30, as per last year. 

A full day will be reserved exclusively for the JEE Main Session 1 BArch paper. No JEE Main exam 2026 will be conducted on January 26 due to Republic Day. The chances of exams being held on January 25 and January 27 are very low. Overall, JEE Main 2026 BE/BTech exam is expected to be conducted in 10 shifts across 5 days, rather than continuously throughout entire January 21 to 30 period.

JEE Main Session 1 Exam 2026 Photo Verification Certificate Upload Last Date January 7

Candidates who have used ID cards like PAN Card, Indian Passport or Non-Indian Passport to fill JEE Main application form have to upload a photo verification certificate. They have been given time to upload the photo verification certificate till January 7 on the official website. To download this, they have use their login details at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
