The centralised online JoSAA 2026 counselling registration will begin on June 2 at josaa.nic.in. The candidates with JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks will be eligible to participate in the JoSAA counselling process. JEE Advanced 2026 ranks will be needed for IIT admission, and the JEE Main 2026 ranks for admission to NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs.
During JoSAA 2026 counselling, registered candidates must upload specific documents for verification through their JoSAA login on the official portal (josaa.nic.in). This verification process takes place entirely online according to the official timeline.
While reviewing the documents, the verification officers may flag discrepancies or ask questions. These questions will appear as online queries inside the student dashboard. Candidates must resolve and answer these queries before the stated deadline. Failing to respond in time will result in the immediate cancellation of the allocated seat and disqualification from all subsequent counselling rounds of JoSAA 2026.
