The JoSAA 2026 counselling process has started for all candidates with JEE Mains ranks and JEE Advanced ranks. All eligible candidates can now start their registration for IITs/NITs/IIITs/GFTIs admission at josaa.nic.in. After completing the JoSAA application process, candidates can complete the choice filling process. The last date to complete the registration and choice filling process is June 11, 5 PM.

JoSAA Counselling Fee 2026

There is no registration fee in JoSAA, however, candidates have to pay the seat acceptance fee (SAF) during the specific round in which they get a seat allotted to them.

Candidates should remit the seat acceptance fee using a Debit card / UPI / Credit card / Net Banking / E-Challan.

This year, the JoSAA counselling will be held in 5 rounds. Note that the registration and choice filling will not open in each round. It is a one-time process which will remain open until June 11.

JoSAA Counselling Registration Process 2026

JoSAA counselling registration 2026 includes authentication using the JEE Main 2026 application number, candidate name, mother’s name and date of birth. Once authentication is done, candidates can login to the JoSAA online portal with their JEE Main application number, the JoSAA password created, and the OTP sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.

At the time of registration on the JoSAA website, candidates will NOT be allowed to change their details, such as:

• Name
• Father’s Name
• Mother’s Name
• Guardian’s Name
• Date of birth
• Class XII (or equivalent) examination board
• Birth category

 However, candidates can change their:

• Nationality
• Year of passing class 12 exam
• Place as well as the status of passing class XII 
• Gender
