JoSAA Counselling 2025: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has released the JoSAA counselling 2025 round 5 seat allotment result today. Candidates who have registered for the counselling round can check the JoSAA 2025 round 5 seat allotment result through the official website: josaa.nic.in. They have to use their JEE Main application number and password to download the JoSAA counselling round 5 seat allotment result 2025.

Those allotted seats through JoSAA round 5 allocation process, can confirm it by uploading all the specified documents according to the requirements of their allotted institution (either an IIT or the NIT+ system). After completing these steps, candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee applicable to their respective categories.

The initiation of seat withdrawal or exit from the JoSAA 2025 seat allocation process for round 5 will be held from July 11 to 14, 2025. During the same period, candidates must complete online reporting, including fee payment, document upload, and responses to any required queries. Also, July 15, 2025, is the last date to respond to seat withdrawal-related queries, as well as to resolve any fee payment issues and submit final responses to pending queries for JoSAA counselling ound 5.

A:

It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Students should apply for JoSAA conselling only if they fulfill all conditions of eligibility. However many institutes admit students on basis of JEE Main where there is no requirement of minimum marks in class 12. 

Q: ย  I have JEE Mains rank above 1 lakh, can I get NIT via JoSAA counselling?
A:

Students who rank in JEE Main above 1 lakh are eligible for admission to NITs. But not possible in top institutions.

Q: ย  My JEE Main rank is above 1 lakh, can I get IIIT via the JoSAA counselling process?
A:

It is a bit difficult. IIITs admit candidates with JEE Main ranks up to around 54,000 in the open and gender-neutral categories. They primarily offer popular courses such as Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Information Technology to candidates with ranks above 25,000 in JEE Mains.
