JoSAA Seat Allotment Result 2025: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has released the JoSAA 2025 round 3 seat allotment result today, July 2. Candidates participating in the counselling process can check the JoSAA round 3 seat allotment result 2025 at josaa.nic.in. They have to use their JEE Main application number and password to check JoSAA round 3 seat allotment result 2025.

Candidates have been allotted seats as per the choices filled by them and their JEE Main/JEE Advanced AIR. What to Do Next After Release of JoSAA Round 3 Seat Allotment 2025 Result & How to Confirm Seat?

Once allotted a seat, candidates must select one of the three options to indicate their admission decision:

  • Freeze: Choose this if candidates are satisfied with the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds.
  • Float: Opt for this if they accept the seat but are open to higher-preference choices in the upcoming rounds.
  • Slide: Select this if they accept the seat but are open to upgrading within the same institute to a preferred course.

However, to confirm a seat, candidates first have to download the provisional allotment letter, which will be available on their dashboard. They must also upload all the specified documents as per their preferred institution (IIT or NIT+ system). Following this, they are required to pay the seat acceptance fee as per their categories. The payment can be made through online banking, UPI, or using debit or credit cards.

As per the information brochure released by the NTA the result of a candidate could be cancelled or withheld in the following cases:

  • Indulge in unfair practices
  • use unfair means
  • Take JEE Main exam from a center other than the one allotted

A:
If two or more candidate obtains same or equal percentile scores, NTA uses a criteria to resolve the tie. In Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech), candidates having higher score in Mathematics is placed high in merit. In case tie still exists, marks of Physics and Chemistry would be compared. Similarly, for Paper 2A, marks of Mathematics followed by General Aptitude and Architecture is checked. In Paper 2B, marks of Mathematics, General Aptitude and Planning is checked.
