The JoSAA counselling round 1 seat allotment result will be out tomorrow, June 13, at josaa.nic.in. Those candidates who will be allotted a seat in the first round of JoSAA will have to complete the online reporting (payment of SAF, document upload, freeze/float/slide, and document verification). JoSAA cutoff for IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs in the form of opening and closing ranks is also expected to be out after the seat allotment. JoSAA round 1 seat allotment & Cutoff LIVE: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will announce the round 1 counselling result at 10 am on June 13, tomorrow. Candidates will be able to check their allotment under their respective login at josaa.nic.in. To login, students need their application number and password. The seat allotment result will show the allotted institute (IIT/IISc/NIT/IIET/GFTI) and the branch based on the candidate's JEE Mains/Advanced rank and filled choices.

Candidates who get a seat have to pay a seat allotment fee of INR 30,000 for general candidates and INR 15,000 for reserved category candidates. Without paying the seat acceptance fee, candidates cannot continue in JoSAA counselling 2026.

What is Freeze, Float and Slide in JoSAA Counselling

Freeze: Choosing "freeze" means the candidate are 100% satisfied with the college and the branch they have been given. Furthermore, they do not want to participate in any upcoming rounds of counselling.

Float: Selecting "float" will mean accepting the allotted current seat, but the candidate wants to check if they can get a better choice in future rounds. This "better choice" can be any higher preference from the preference list that candidates had locked in the choice filling process.

Slide: Choosing the option "slide" will indicate that the candidate accepts the current seat, but they only want a branch upgrade within the same college. Means, the candidate likes the college allotted, but wants a better course from their preference list in the same college.
