MHT CET 2027: What Changes Are Expected? Class 12 Marks, Exam Attempts and More
The Maharashtra government is considering changes to the admission process for engineering and pharmacy courses through MHT CET 2027. The most significant proposed change is the inclusion of class 12 board marks to prepare the merit list for BTech and BPharm admissions. The state government has constituted a five-member committee to examine the proposal and recommend how the two components should be considered for admissions.
According to recent reports quoting State CET Cell officials and commissioner Dilip Serdesai, the first attempt of MHT CET 2027 is expected to be conducted in December 2026, while the next attempt is scheduled for April 2027. However, there is no official notification confirming the timeline.
The authorities have yet to announce the MHT CET syllabus 2027. If the session 1 of MHT CET 2027 exam is conducted in Dec-Jan, students may expect modifications to the syllabus. However, this is only a speculation and the final confirmation will be made only through the official notification.

First MHT CET 2027 Attempt May Move to December
While the exact dates for MHT CET 2027 have yet to be notified, based on the latest reports, the examination calendar is likely to change significantly. Last year, the authorities introduced two attempts in MHT CET 2026 for both the PCM and PCB groups. This year, however, the first attempt may be held between December 15 to January 15. In this case, students will have to complete a substantial portion of their class 11 and 12 syllabus much earlier.

Changes Expected in MHT CET syllabus & Pattern?
For now there is no official confirmation of a major change in the MHT CET 2027 question paper pattern or syllabus. The State CET Cell will release the syllabus and marking scheme for 2027 academic year anytime now.
