MET 2021 exam day guidelines released; last day to apply tomorrow

MET 2021 application process will conclude tomorrow. Read to know the new MET 2021 exam day guidelines.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has released the exam day guidelines for MET 2021, which will be held as an online remote proctored examination from June 11 to 14. Since the candidates have been introduced to a new exam pattern because of the ongoing pandemic, the authorities have released the MET 2021 exam day guidelines for reference.

MET 2021 Exam Day Guidelines

• All candidates will be required to download the Safe Examination Browser (SEB), which will be available from June 1.
• Candidates will be allowed to use only a laptop or desktop with a Microsoft Window operation system. Laptops/tablets/Macbook will not be allowed.
• All of the system requirements should be checked properly by the candidates before the examination.
• The candidates should have their original ID photo ID ready for the examination. The authorities will accept Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/Voter ID/College ID.
• The room should be well lit and noise-free. No other person should be present in the room.
• The face of the candidate should be clearly seen during the examination and they should also ensure that they are properly recorded.
• No time extension will be given to the candidates.
• Candidates should log in at least 20 minutes before the examination commences.

MET 2021 System Requirements

Candidates should ensure that their system should meet all of the mentioned requirements for the examination to proceed smoothly.

• Operating System: Windows 10 (Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions) OR Windows 8/8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit) (all editions) OR Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) (all editions).
• Processor: Minimum 2 core (4 vCPU) or above with 2.2 GHz or more clock speed
• RAM: 2 GB or above
• Browser: Chrome
• Screen Resolution: 1024 x 768 and above
• Web camera: Resolution 640 x 480, 15 frames per second (fps)
• Microphone: Any model (external or internal)
• Net Framework: v4.5.2

MET 2021 Internet Requirements

• Internet connection: 512 Kilobits per sec (Kbps) minimum
• Connectivity: Dedicated and continuous connectivity (wired or wireless networks) (if using a mobile hotspot, please ensure NO other device(s) is/are using the same hotspot)
• Data Usage: 1.5 GB max (during the final exam)

MET 2021 mock test will be available from June 5 for all registered candidates. By attempting the mock test, the candidates will be able to understand the MET exam pattern and be well prepared for the examination. Candidates will be able to fill MET 2021 application form till tomorrow i.e., May 25. MET 2021 will be conducted to provide admissions into the BTech courses offered by the participating campuses.
