Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT Pune) has commenced the ACAP/ spot admission process for first year B.Tech for the academic year 2026-27. The institute-level spot round began on September 9. The authorities will release the final merit list for VIT Pune B.Tech admission today, September 11. The college reporting begins on September 12. The authorities release different merit lists for MHT and JEE Main candidates. Those who registered for the VIT Pune ACAP/Spot round will be required to participate in the counselling process as per their institute merit number. The counselling will be conducted at the VIT Pune Kondhwa campus.

VIT Pune Spot Round 2026: How Will Seat Allotment Take Place?

The ACAP/Spot seat allotment is being conducted through inter-se merit. Candidates appearing in the VIT Pune merit list are called for counselling, and seats are allotted according to the vacancies available at that particular point in the process.  The institute has clarified that once a seat is allotted, it is removed from the available vacancy list. However, the seat matrix can change during the counselling process because of cancellations or betterments.

No. There is no minimum mark required to pass the MHT CET exam. The only requirement to get the scorecard is to appear in all subjects of MHT CET and obtain a non-zero score.

The question paper of MHT CET is prepared by considering the entire CET syllabus which consists of topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from class 11 and 12. Important study material for MHT CET like books or short notes can be checked online. Students who are taking coaching can get the study materials from the coaching institutes.

Candidates who are absent when their merit number is called may lose their opportunity for merit-based allotment. The notification states that a candidate’s merit number can be announced a maximum of three times during the allotment process.
