NIT Calicut organises start-up ecosystem workshop
NIT Calicut Start-up Ecosystem Workshop was inaugurated by P S Sathidevi, Deputy Director, NIT-C. Sathdevi emphasised the role of IIC in fostering innovations as per the National Innovation and Start-up Policy and also explained its importance in the National Education Policy.
NIT Calicut Start-up Ecosystem Workshop: The Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) of the National Institute of Technology- Calicut (NIT-C) conducted a one-day workshop, ‘Mentee Pre-Incubation Programme for Start-up Ecosystem’, on campus. The workshop was aimed to highlight and make the participants understand the concept of prototype development based on academic research activities at schools and colleges.

NIT Calicut introduces course in Sanskrit
Meanwhile, the technology institute is all set to offer course in Sanskrit. Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, has sanctioned a Centre for Non-Formal Sanskrit Education (NFSE) at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NITC) to offer a one-year certificate course in Sanskrit. According to the official reports, the technology institute commenced the course on August 18. NIT Calicut certificate course in Sanskrit aims to initiate Sanskrit learning and introduce science and literature in Sanskrit language.
Candidates interested in the NIT-C certificate course in Sanskrit must note that no prior knowledge of Sanskrit is required to join the course, a press release said. Classes will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at NIT-C.
