NIT Rourkela Hosts Workshop on Molecular and Genomic Techniques in Cellular Studies
NIT Rourkela is hosting a 6-day workshop on Molecular and Genomic Techniques in Cellular Studies, featuring lectures and hands-on sessions by leading scientists, industry professionals, and medical experts.
The Department of Life Science at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela inaugurated the second edition of its five-day workshop, "Molecular and Genomic Techniques in Cellular Studies (MAGTICS-2024)," today. To be held from September 2 to 6, 2024, this workshop offers training and insights into essential molecular biology and genomics techniques crucial for cellular research. The inaugural session was honoured by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Prof. Bisnu Prasad Dash from Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Odisha.
The event gathering was also honoured by the presence of Prof. K. Umamaheshwar Rao (Director of NIT Rourkela), Registrar Prof. Rohan Dhiman, Dr. Bismita Nayak (Head of the Department of Life Science) and other faculty members of the department. Dr. Bibekanand Mallick & Dr. M. Srinivasan are the Conveners of the workshop.
This workshop on Molecular and Genomic Techniques in Cellular Studies is designed to educate and provide technical knowledge to undergraduate, postgraduate, and early-career Ph.D. students. It aims to integrate instructional videos, special guest lectures, live presentations, and hands-on sessions led by experts and faculty from premier institutions across the country.
