NIT Trichy Admissions 2022: Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, has commenced the admission application process for MA Programme in English (Language and Literature) for 2022-23. Candidates interested in NIT Trichy Admissions 2022 must note that the date to apply for the masters programme is April 30, 2022. Candidates are required to submit applications online at https://admission.nitt.edu/ma2022/ No application will be accepted without the registration fee of INR 500/- (INR 200/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) State Bank Collect (SB Collect).

NIT Trichy MA English Admissions 2022: Eligibility

Applicant must hold BA Degree in English Literature/ELT/Linguistics from any recognized university/college with a minimum of 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA. 55% or above/6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Those who have appeared/are appearing for the final semester/year examination in 2022 are also eligible to apply provided their final marks are available on or before July 30, 2022.

Admission Process

The selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in a national-level entrance examination along the lines of GATE, followed by a personal interview. The entrance exam will be conducted in the 3rd week of May 2022 at multiple centres representing North, East, West and South Zones, including NIT Tiruchirappalli as one of the centres.

Eligible candidates will receive admit card via email well before the date of the entrance test. A list of shortlisted candidates for interview will be made available at www.nitt.edu. Interview of shortlisted candidates is likely to be scheduled in the 3rd week of May 2022.

GATE-qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance exam. However, they have to appear for a personal interview. Under this programme, the institute do not provide any scholarship.

Important: Candidates are required to mail a hard copy of the filled-in application form with copies of documents specified in the Information Brochure, along with the printout of proof of payment of registration fee. The application should reach ‘The Chairperson (PG Admission), Office of the Dean (Academic), National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu -620 015’ by registered post or speed post, before 5 pm on May 5 2022 in a sealed cover superscribing ‘Application for MA Programme’.
