The Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) has also postponed the fifth and seventh-semester exams. Earlier, the exams were scheduled to begin on December 16, but now these will be held from the last week of December.  

The Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) has decided to conduct semester exams in the online mode after Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan intervened amid the increasing number Omicron cases in Bhopal. The university has also postponed the exams. Earlier, the fifth and seventh-semester exams were scheduled to begin on December 16, but now these will be held from the last week of December.  

Students of the university had staged a protest to conduct online exams on the college premises recently. They had also surrounded the Vice-Chancellor's office to put forth their demand. 

Considering the studentsโ€™ demand, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan decided to make the examinations of the university online instead of offline for the convenience of the students. He made an announcement regarding the same on Twitter.  

AKTU students demand online exmas

Meanwhile, students of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, are also demanding the university to either postpone exams or conduct them in online mode in view of the Omicron variant of Coronavirus surfacing in various states of the country. Students fear the contagion and are urging authorities to conduct online exams. They took to Twitter to express their concerns regarding the conduction of AKTU exams in offline mode amid the Covid-19 pandemic AKTU exams are beginning on December 28 in the offline mode. Candidates can apply and pay fee by December 16.
