TNEA 2025 Round 1 Tentative Allotment Released; Last Date to Confirm Seat July 18

The tentative allotment for round 1 of TNEA counselling 2025 has been announced. Candidates must confirm their tentative allotment from July 17 to July 18. The allotment letters will be issued on July 19. Candidates who receive allotment letters need to report to the TFCs between July 19 and July 23. Those who have chosen to upgrade their seats will receive their allotment letters on July 26. Round 1 is designated for candidates who have TNEA ranks ranging from 1 to 39145 (scores from 200 to 179).
How to Check TNEA 2025 Counselling Allotment?
Candidates can follow the steps to know their TNEA round 1 allotment:
- Candidates have to log in with their registered email ID and password to check the allotment result.
- The candidates allotted seats have to confirm the allotment, or they can practice other options available regarding the seats.
- The decision of the candidates against the allotted seats must be made by the candidates before the last date.
Candidates who are satisfied with their currently assigned seat and have chosen the "Accept and Join" option should obtain the TNEA allotment order, go to the college, and complete the admission process by paying the necessary fees. If the admission process is not completed, it will be seen as an indication of disinterest in joining, leading to the cancellation of the allotment order. The TNEA allotment order can be accessed from the candidates' respective logins by using their registered email ID and password on the official website.
TNEA 2026 Random Number will be out in June 2026. Registered candidates have to sign in by entering login Id/email Id and password to view their unique random number allotted by the authority. The conducting body also informs all the registered candidates about the assigned random number of TNEA 2026 through SMS. The random number will be a 10 digit number that will be allotted to the candidates randomly. Candidates have to verify their documents at TFCs as per their assigned TNEA random number.

- On the official website of TNEA 2026
- Navigate to the candidate login page
- On the login page, enter your email ID/login ID, password, and captcha code
- The TNEA random number will be displayed on the screen
- View your random number and save it for future references.
TNEA 2026 notification will be out in May 2026.
TNEA stands for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu conducts TNEA every year. It is an online counselling window. All Indian National candidates who wish to take admission to Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges, University Departments and Constituent Colleges of Anna University, Annamalai University and for the seats surrendered by Self-Financing Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu have to apply for TNEA counselling.
TNEA counselling is a Unified Single Window Admission System for Indian Nationals only. The courses offered via this online counselling are BE/BTech and BE (sandwich) courses. TNEA counselling is conducted online in 4 rounds as per the schedule. Candidates need to participate in corresponding rounds based on their rank.
