TNEA Counselling 2025 Round 2 Choice Filling Starts Tomorrow at tneaonline.org

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) Tamil Nadu will commence round 2 of TNEA 2025 counselling tomorrow, July 26. The candidates with TNEA 2025 ranks from 39,146 to 1,37,710 will be able to participate in round 2 of the counselling. The first step in the counselling process will be choice filling. The TNEA 2025 round 2 choice filling will start on July 26 and will be open till July 28. After the choice filling, seats will be allotted to the candidates tentatively on July 29. The candidates who will be allotted seats are then required to confirm the seats by July 30.

The TNEA 2025 round 3 will be the last round of counselling. In round 3, candidates with TNEA ranks from 137711 to 239299 can participate. The TNEA round 3 general counselling will start on August 7.

Q:   When will the counselling dates be announced for TNEA?
A:

The TNEA 2026 dates will be announced in May 2026. Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu will release the application process for TNEA 2026.

Candidates can check the important TNEA 2026 dates like registration dates, random number release dates, Certificate verification dates, rank list release dates and counselling dates. The counselling rounds will include steps like Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to the College/TFC and payment of fees.

10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling. Admission will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths Physics and Chemistry which will be reduced to 200 (Maths 100, Physics 50 and Chemistry 50).

Q:   I had chosen 'Accept and Upward' option in the TNEA counselling. What should I do next?
A:

All the candidates who are satisfied with the currently allotted seat and have opted for “Accept and Upward” will be given tentative allotment order. They must report to the nearest TFCwithin the date given in the allotment order and pay the tuition fees and submit their original certificates for holding the current seat. Non reporting and nonpayment of fees, will be considered as not willing to join and the allotment order will be cancelled. Such candidates will lose allotted seat and will not be considered for further rounds in counselling. In case no better choice is available in upward movement, then the candidate is confirmed with the previously allotted choice as they have paid the necessary fee in the TFC.
