The Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced the NIRF 2025 ranking. Various universities and institutes have been ranked based on the different parameters decided by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for the NIRF ranking 2025. This year, the MoE has introduced stricter rules and added more parameters for evaluating colleges and universities across 16 categories. Institutes are also marked negatively for the retraction of research papers and removal of citations.
As per the NIRF Engineering Ranking 2025, Birla Institute of Technology and Science is the top private Engineering college in India. Compared to the previous year's ranking of 20, BITS Pilani has improved its ranking to 11th place among the top Engineering colleges in India. Following BITS Pilani, SRM Institute of Science and Technology and Vellore Institute of Technology and ranked as the top Private Engineering colleges in India.
