TS EAMCET 2022 ranks will be purely on the basis of performance in the entrance test. Read details below.

Students who will appear for the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2022 will be assigned ranks solely based on their performance in the exam. For this year, the 25% weightage for intermediate marks in calculating TS EAMCET ranks has been removed.

Previously, TS EAMCET ranks were calculated using a 25% weightage of marks obtained in intermediate public examinations. Given the pandemic situation, the weightage for admissions to various engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy programmes for the academic year 2022-23 has been waived as a special case. Due to the pandemic, this provision was extended to students last year as well.

However, apart from that, the minimum eligibility criteria for the EAMCET 2022 have been relaxed, requiring at least 45 percent of marks (40 percent for candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the intermediate. This means that students who completed MPC or BiPC courses in specific subjects and passed the entrance exam are eligible to enrol in relevant courses for the academic year 2022-23.

The intermediate eligibility criterion was relaxed because all second-year students were passed based on their first-year scores, and second-year students who had backlogs in the first year were given minimum qualifying marks in 2021 because exams could not be held due to the pandemic. Similarly, because second-year students had a low pass percentage in the first-year exams held in 2021-22, the State government gave all failed candidates minimum qualifying marks.

As previously announced, the TS EAMCET 2022 will cover only 70% of the total syllabus in both first and second-year intermediate.

This year's entrance exam will be held from July 14 to 20, with AM tests on July 14 and 15, and engineering tests on July 18, 19, and 20. Online registration is now open at https://eamcet.tsche.ac.in/, and the deadline to register without paying a late fee is May 28.
