VITEEE 2014: Know topper profiles

Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) results were declared on April 30, 2014. No girls have made it to the top 10 ranks and once again boys have secured the highest position in this entrance exam.

VITEEE 2014 was a computer based test which was conducted from April 9 to April 20, 2014 in 112 cities spread across the country. A total of 1,84,4832 candidates appeared for the exam this year and beating all the competition, Varre Aditya Vardhan a student of Narayana Srichaitanya Junior College, Vishakhapatnam stood first in VIT’s engineering entrance exam. The second rank has been secured by Mayank Sharan from Jharkhand who has a keen interest in research (abstract sciences and singing) followed by another student from Narayana Srichaitanya Junior College, Gangam Rohith Reddy from Hyderabad who has stood third.

Other students who have made it to the top 10 list are Anshul Dewangan at Rank 4, K V N Shreenivasulu at Rank 5, Sidhant Rohela at Rank 6, Yogendra Vinay at Rank 7, Golwala Jagesh Janak at Rank 8, Modh Deep NiranjanKumar at Rank 9 and Y Pushyarag at Rank 10.

VIT founder-chancellor, Dr G. Viswanathan said that out of the 1,93,851 candidates who registered for the entrance exam, only 1,84,483 appeared for the exam. Out of this total, 1,48,184 were boys and the rest 36,299 were girls. He further mentioned that students from Andhra Pradesh, Jharkand, Mumbai, Shimla and Ahmedabad have managed to secure the top 10 ranks in VITEEE 2014.
