West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has postponed WBJEE 2025 result announcement again, as per media reports. Earlier, WBJEEB chairperson had stated that WBJEE result 2025 would be released on August 7, 2025. WBJEE 2025 result declaration has been delayed due to contempt proceedings held against the state in Calcutta High Court. However, there has not yet been any official announcement from the WBJEEB authorities regarding this.
Why has the WBJEE 2025 result date been postponed?
According to media reports, Justice Kausik Chanda received a complaint from merit listed candidates of JEMAS PG and WBJEE, and started proceedings against state and others, including WBJEEB. Due to contempt proceedings, WBJEEB will be unable to take any further steps in admission until Division Bench of Court decides stay application against said order. Next hearing is scheduled for August 7, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Principal Secretary of Higher Education, West Bengal, has been directed to appear in court to clarify state’s position.
WBJEE 2025 Result: What are the next steps?
After hearing scheduled for TODAY, i.e., August 7, 2025, 10:30 AM, authorities are expected to make a decision regarding announcement of WBJEE 2025. Until then, Calcutta High Court has ordered that no further steps in admission can be undertaken.

No, The authorities will release the WBJEE result online. No other mode will be used to release the WBJEE result/rank card. Candidates will be required to log in online using their application number and date of birth to access the result or rank card of WBJEE 2025. A print out of the rank card has to be taken as soon as it is released online.
