West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has postponed WBJEE 2025 result announcement again. Earlier, chairperson had stated WBJEE result 2025 would be released on August 7, 2025. WBJEE 2025 result has been delayed due to proceedings held against state in Calcutta High Court. However, there is no official announcement from WBJEEB authorities regarding this.

Why has WBJEE 2025 result date been postponed?

According to media reports, Justice Kausik Chanda received a complaint from merit listed candidates of JEMAS PG and WBJEE, and started application against state and others, including WBJEEB. Due to this, WBJEEB cannot take any further steps in admission until Division Bench of Court decides application against said order. Next hearing is scheduled for August 7, 2025. Principal Secretary of Higher Education, West Bengal, has been directed to appear in court to tell state’s position.

After hearing scheduled for August 7, 2025, 10:30 AM, authorities are expected to make a decision regarding announcement of WBJEE 2025. Until then, Calcutta High Court has ordered that no further steps in admission can be undertaken.
