West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has announced WBJEE 2026 counselling date for Defence Quota candidates. According to the official notification released at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee, the authorities will conduct WBJEE 2026 Defence quota counselling on August 18 as an offline process. A total of 105 candidates have been listed by Rajya Sainik Board, Home Department for the Defence Quota counselling. Candidates who did not participate in WBJEE 2026 counselling will have to pay INR 500 in cash at the venue.

All candidates have to be physically present at the venue on the day of WBJEE counselling 2026 with required documents. During counselling, they will be called for allotment in order of General Merit Ranks (GMR). It is to be noted that domicile criteria is not mandatory for availing of the benefit of reservation of Defence quota seats in Government Engineering and Technology colleges and Jadavpur University. Under Defence quota, 13 seats are reserved for students. Out of total 13 seats, 11 are reserved in different branches in Government Engineering and Technology colleges of the state and 2 seats in Jadavpur University.

All candidates have to carry the following original documents along with its photocopies with them on the day of WBJEE counselling.

- Proof of Date of Birth
- 10+2th Standard Mark Sheet
- One Passport Sized Recent Coloured Photo
- WBJEE 2026 Seat Allotment Letter (if any).
Commonly asked questions
During second round of WBJEE counselling, candidates can go back to their previous allotment, if they are not allotted in their higher preference. If they are allotted higher preference, then their previous seat will be automatically cancelled.
WBJEEB conducts the WBJEE counselling process online. All qualified candidates have to register for the counselling and fill out their choice of colleges and courses. The counselling fee also has to be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. No offline counselling will be held.
WBJEE 2026 counselling has commenced. The qualified candidates will have to participate in the three rounds of counselling to be eligible for admissions. WBJEE 2026 counselling registration is open online. Seat allotment result will be declared for all participating candidates.
