GATE 2026 application form correction window

The GATE 2026 correction facility is expected to start soon at the GATE GOAPS 2026 portal. Candidates who want to change their details, such as exam centre, name, exam paper, etc. can make edits in their form within the given dates. The GATE 2026 exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts

GATE Correction Window 2026 Expected Start Date

Based on last year’s schedule, the expected release date for the GATE 2026 correction facility can be October last week. However, the last date to make edits in the GATE 2026 registration form is November 6 (as mentioned in the information brochure). 

Steps to Make Changes in GATE Registration Form 2026

It has to be noted that candidates who have registered can only make changes to their form. The GATE application correction 2026 window will be available at GOAPS portal. The steps can be checked below -

  • Visit the GATE’s official website
  • Click on the application portal and login using enrollment ID and password
  • Select the edit option facility available on dashboard
  • Select the section where you want to make edit
  • Pay the fees and submit
  • Login again to check the status

Details that can be edited in GATE 2026 Registration Form

Candidates can make changes in the following particulars -

  • Gender
  • Category
  • PwD status
  • Dyslexic
  • Address details
  • Exam paper
  • Exam centre
  • College name, location, roll number, etc. 

GATE 2026 Correction Fees

IIT Guwahati will release the GATE 2026 correction facility link along with instructions and fees imposed for each particular change. The accepted payment modes are - debit card/credit card/UPI or netbanking.

Instructions to follow before accessing the GATE 2026 Correction Facility

Candidates must keep all their new details (which you want to change) ready. Check your GATE 2026 application status. If rectification is required for the photo or signature, complete them beforehand. Keep all the details, such as GATE enrollment ID and password, safe for quick registration process.

Q:   In how many cities will GATE 2026 exam be conducted?

The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted in more than 200 cities across eight zones in India. There are no international centres. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must travel to India. The details regarding the test city and address will be mentioned in the GATE admit card.

A:

The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, will be conducting the GATE 2026 exam. The dates are OUT now. IIT Guwahati last conducted the GATE exam in 2018. Candidates who want to apply for M.Tech or any research programmes can apply for GATE. The application window is available till October 7 without late fees (revised), till October 13 (with late fee) and the exam will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15.
