Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar announces medical and nursing college in Palwal

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced a host of new ventures including a medical and nursing college in Palwal.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar who holds the charge of finance portfolio announced the Haryana budget 2022-23 on Tuesday and announced multiple ventures including a medical and nursing college in Palwal.

Other ventures included an interdisciplinary university in Nuh, an institute of emerging technologies in Manesar, and a feeder canal to supply water to Gurugram and Nuh.

Haryana budget 2022-23: Special offers for women

The budget was announced on International women's day and had some special offerings for women including hostels for working women in Gurugram and Faridabad and loans of up to INR 3 lakh for entrepreneurs. Chief Minister also announced that nearly 1000 women would also be recruited in Haryana Police. 

Haryana budget 2022-23 Details

The budget allocated INR 1000 crore for the development of the industrial model town and INR 662 crore for an electronic cluster in IMT Sohna which is expected to give a push to industries in south Haryana. Moreover, the validity of fire NOCs has been extended from one to three years.

Haryana BJP Chief Omprakash Dhankar said, "The budget allocation had increased by 15% from the last year. With a focus on the health sector after the outbreak of Covid, the government has set aside INR 8,925.2 crore for it and announced multiple medical colleges in the district apart from the upgrade of facilities in government hospitals. The proposals in the state budget will benefit the education, health and industrial sectors of the region."
