Haryana CM opines Amrita Hospital in Faridabad is biggest hospital in India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled the state-of-the-art Amrita Hospital in Faridabad today, CM Manohar Lal Khattar said, "I think it's the biggest hospital in India." 

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said about the state-of-the-art Amrita Hospital that it is probably the biggest hospital in India.

He said, "It's a 2600 bedded hospital. 500 beds will be in ICU. I think it's the biggest hospital in India. Earlier there were only 7 medical colleges in Haryana but now there're 13 colleges & 9 are in pipeline.After that, each district will have one medical college."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today unveiled the state-of-the-art Amrita Hospital in Faridabad in the presence of Governor of Haryana Bandaru Dattatreya, Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar, and Sri Mata Amritanandamayi.

He also inaugurated Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in Mohali, Punjab today and dedicated it to the nation. The Hospital has been built at a cost of over INR 660 Crore by Tata Memorial Centre, an aided institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The cancer Hospital is a tertiary care hospital of 300 bed capacity and is equipped with modern facilities to treat all types of cancers using every available treatment modalities like Surgery, Radiotherapy and Medical oncology - Chemotherapy, immunotherapy and Bone marrow transplant. The Hospital will function like a ‘hub’ of cancer care and treatment in the region, with the 100 bedded hospital in Sangrur functioning as it's ‘spoke’.
