Haryana schools to reopen for Class 1 to 9 from Feb 10
Haryana government allowed students of Class 10, 11 and 12 to attend offline sessions in schools from February 1.
Haryana School Reopening: The government of Haryana has allowed schools to reopen from February 10 for Classes 1 to 9. Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal announced that schools in the state will reopen for Classes 1 to 9 from February 10 in physical mode. However, precautionary against COVID-19 spread including respiratory etiquettes will be adhered to strictly during the conduct of classes. While making the announcement regarding the reopening of Haryana schools for the students of Classes 1 to 9 in offline mode, the minister said that parents who want to send their children to school can do so, however, online classes will also continue.
Pal through his official Twitter handle informed, "In Haryana, schools will be opened for Classes 1 to 9 from February 10. COVID-19 appropriate behavior will be strictly followed in the classrooms. Parents who want to send their children to school can send. Online classes will also continue."
Haryana government allowed students of Class 10, 11 and 12 to attend offline sessions in schools from February 1 onwards. Schools and colleges were shut witnessing an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in January. However, online teaching continued and the schools and colleges were instructed to take the necessary action by focusing on the preparation for the upcoming board examinations.
Earlier, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has said that when schools reopen, children in the age group of 15-18 years who are not vaccinated against Covid will not be allowed to enter schools.
Over 15 lakh children in Haryana between 15 and 18 years of age are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine and vaccination for this age group commenced in India on January 3.
