Ashoka University scholarship for students selected for Young India Fellowship Class of 2025-26 will be either a partial or full scholarship ranging from 25% to 100% waiver.

Ashoka University has started scholarship registration for All Young India Fellows in the Class of 2025-26 at the official website. The Ashoka University Scholarship Registration 2024 has started and students will receive partial or full scholarships ranging from a 25% to a full 100% waiver covering tuition, residence, and meals along with stipends for additional financial assistance. Additionally, the prestigious Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship will also continue to be awarded in the Class of 2026.

Students will be assessed based on their applications and the shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview. Some of the shortlisted candidates may get the chance to interview for the Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship. At present, 81% of Young India Fellows are funded with 60% of the cohort benefitting from fee waiver opportunities. The university reported that one-third of the 2025 batch has been advantaged with the scholarship opportunity. 

Ashoka University Scholarship: Registration Link

The Ashoka University scholarship registration link is activated at apply.ashoka.edu.in. Students are suggested to check the eligibility criteria before filling the scholarship form. The admissions process opened on October 15, 2024, and is split into two rounds, with the first application deadline being January 5, 2025

The Ashoka University scholarship criteria allow students from all age groups nationalities and academics with a recognised undergraduate degree in any discipline by July 2025 or earlier to apply online.

Yes, Ashoka University offers two types of scholarships, namely Need-Based Financial Aid Philosophy and Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship, to its students. The financial aid given by Ashoka University is assessed solely on the basis of your family’s financial standing. It is not based on scholastic merit, sports qualifications, parent’s occupation or any non-financial factors. The merit cum means scholarship is offered to exceptional undergraduate students intending to major in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Computer Science at Ashoka.

Q:   How to apply for Merit Cum Means Scholarship at Ashoka University?
A:

Ashoka University offers Merit Cum Means scholarship for exceptional Undergraduate students intending to major in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Computer Science at Ashoka. A total of 25 scholarships will be awarded in addition to the need based financial aid available to all students, of which 5 of candidates will receive a waiver of 100% on tuition fee and residence, and remaining 20 will receive a waiver of 100% on tuition fee. Candidates can refer to the steps below to apply for Merit Cum Means scholarship:

  1. Candidates shortlisted based on the cut-offs will receive an invitation to apply for the Merit Scholarship.
  2. As a part of the scholarship application, candidates will be required to submit a form with a Statement Of Purpose (SOP), along with the latest Income Tax Return of their parents/guardian. This application form will be open for 5 days.
  3. Candidates will be further shortlisted by a scholarship committee based on the caliber of their SOP and family income analysis.  Those that make the short list at this point could also have to show up for an in-person interview with the committee.
  4. Depending on how well they perform overall during the selection process, successful candidates will either earn a 100% tuition fee waiver or a 100% tuition and residence waiver.
