CUH to provide free UPSC Exam coaching to SC students
The Central University of Haryana has signed an MoU with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, will now provide help to the promising youth of Scheduled Caste for the coaching for the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and other competitive examination.
Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence (DACE) has been started in the University for this purpose and the MoU was signed in the presence of Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel and Dr. Virendra Kumar, Minister, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India at Banaras Hindu University.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, CUH informed that in the Haryana, this centre is being opened only at the Central University of Haryana through which 100 students will be prepared every year for the UPSC examination.
The Vice-Chancellor said that a grant of Rs. 75000 per student will be received for providing free coaching to the contestants under this centre. The Vice-Chancellor of the University said that 33 percent of women contestants will be included in this centre.
Dr. Antresh Kumar, Program Coordinator said that the purpose of this scheme is to provide the best class coaching facilities to the scheduled caste students for the preparation for UPSC and other competitive examinations. He said that such centres have been opened in 31 central universities under this scheme including the centre at the Central University of Haryana.
